Operating within NÖROM, the Cellular Neuroscience Laboratory provides an advanced research infrastructure that enables the investigation of nervous system mechanisms at the cellular and molecular levels. In this unit, immunohistochemical and histochemical protocols are routinely applied for the preparation of tissue and cell samples for advanced microscopic neuroimaging analyses. Furthermore, molecular analysis methods such as Western blotting can be performed using the laboratory's standard equipment for the detection of specific protein expressions and the evaluation of pathological changes at the cellular level. Within the framework of its current technical capabilities, the laboratory houses multidisciplinary research focused on various nervous system disorders, primarily COVID-19, migraine, and autism.
