Neuropsychological Test

r-1

One way to study human behavior, cognitive processes, and the brain-behavior relationship is through neuropsychological assessments. In these assessments, participants are given tasks designed to measure the cognitive process or behavior of interest, and measurements are obtained regarding their performance on these tasks.

During neuropsychological tests, distractions negatively affect the participant's performance. The neuropsychological testing laboratory is designed as an isolated room where such assessments can be conducted appropriately. The walls of the room and the objects inside do not contain elements that would distract the participant. The room contains the equipment that researchers need for neuropsychological testing.
