Sudenur Özkan received the “Best Poster Testable Award” for her research presented at the 48th European Conference on Visual Perception (ECVP 2026), held in Bournemouth, United Kingdom, from 23 to 27 August 2026.

The study, entitled “Modulatory Role of Fronto-Parietal Beta-Band tACS in Stream-Bounce Illusion,” investigated how transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) applied at different frequencies over frontoparietal brain regions influences the integration of visual and auditory information. Built around a clear and testable research question, a carefully designed experiment, and findings that extended beyond the original hypotheses, the study was recognized as one of the outstanding poster presentations at ECVP 2026. The award highlights the study’s rigorous scientific approach and strong experimental testability.

The research was conducted within the collaborative research environment fostered by NÖROM – Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence and the Aysel Sabuncu Brain Research Center (ASBAM) at Bilkent University.
