In a collaborative study conducted by the Neuroscience and Neurotechnology Center of Excellence (NÖROM) and the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Gazi University, a 6-week mental training program was administered to the Ankara TVF Sports High School Men's Volleyball Team. In addition to physical training, the athletes performed mental training by visualizing spike and serve movements without physically executing them. Following the mental training period, increased activation was observed in brain regions associated with hand and arm movements used during spikes and serves. Following this intervention, the participating team became world champions at the World High School Volleyball Championship in China.
