Holding the pulse of the scientific world, NÖROM seminars opened their doors with a unique gathering. Held on October 14, 2026, and focusing on the latest methodological developments in brain research, the seminar titled “NÖROM: Methodological Technology in Brain Research: Optogenetics, Brain Microdialysis, Micropunch, Immunofluorescence, and Fiber Photometry” came to life with the inspiring presentation of Prof. Dr. Bayram Yılmaz, one of the pioneers in the field, Rector of Dokuz Eylül University, President of TÜBAS, and Member of the NÖROM Advisory Board.

In this special gathering that pushed the boundaries of science, Prof. Dr. Bayram Yılmaz laid bare the nuances of advanced technologies that revolutionized neuroscience research, such as optogenetics, brain microdialysis, micropunch, immunofluorescence, and fiber photometry. These innovative methods, which shed light on the darkest corridors of the mind, opened new horizons for academic enthusiasts in the hall.
The event, moderated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hürrem Evren Boran witnessed intense interest and enthusiastic participation from academicians, researchers, and bright-minded students. The question-and-answer session following the presentation laid the groundwork for scientists and young researchers to engage in in-depth discussion of the neuroscience questions of the future.

With this science-filled and exciting beginning, the 2026–2027 academic year program of the NÖROM seminar series also gained great momentum. NÖROM remains determinedly committed to being the center of high-caliber scientific events and horizon-opening, pioneering research within neuroscience.
