As part of the visit, the Cultural and Scientific Relations Counselor of the Embassy of Spain, Hugo Alcalá Morillas, his assistant María del Mar Medina Guasch and our center director Prof. Dr. Hayrunnisa Bolay discussed possible joint projects and conferences that could be organized regarding the Ramón y Cajal Year events planned to be held in memory of Nobel laureate Spanish neuroscientist Santiago Ramón y Cajal, as well as possible academic collaborations with Spanish neuroscience experts. Our visitors were given a tour of our building accompanied by our center's PhD student Nursu Çakır, and information was shared about NÖROM's research infrastructure, ongoing projects and interdisciplinary fields of study.
