A New Era in Stroke Research Discussed at the TÜBA Conference

As part of the TÜBA Conferences hosted by NÖROM, we had the honor of welcoming Prof. Dr. Cenk Ayata from Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. During the event held at our center on June 17, 2026, Prof. Dr. Ayata delivered an insightful presentation titled "Multicenter Preclinical Trials: A New Era in Translational Stroke Research." The conference highlighted the critical importance of multicenter preclinical studies and methodological innovations in successfully bridging the gap between bench and bedside in stroke research, fostering deep discussions on the latest translational approaches in neuroscience. Following the main lecture, a dedicated scientific interaction session provided attendees with the invaluable opportunity to engage directly with Prof. Dr. Ayata, exchange ideas, and discuss their ongoing projects.

An Archaeological Perspective on the Cognitive Evolution of Prehistoric Man at NÖROforum

As part of our NÖROforum event series, we hosted a thought-provoking session at our center on June 16, 2026, brilliantly bridging the gap between archaeology and cognitive sciences. Prof. Dr. Necmi Karul from Istanbul University, Coordinator of the Taş Tepeler Project and Head of the Göbeklitepe-Karahantepe Excavations, delivered a captivating presentation titled "Cognitive Transformation of Prehistoric Man." Shedding light on the latest archaeological discoveries from regions considered the ground zero of human history, Prof. Dr. Karul explored the symbolic thinking and mental evolution of our ancestors through an interdisciplinary lens. This presentation, which sparked profound discussions on the development of the human brain over millennia, demonstrated how understanding our past can illuminate modern neuroscience research.
